Where can my Thai friend apply for a new passport?
I would like one of my Phuket friends to visit my country, but I just realized he does not have a passport.
Where is the closest Ministry of Foreign Affairs Office to Phuket so we can apply for a passport?
How much does it cost, how long does it usually take to process and what documents are required?

The closest Passport Division office to Phuket is located in Songkhla province.
There is a mobile service that travels to Phuket about four times per year, but you should not rely upon this if you are in a hurry to leave the country with your friend.
To apply for a passport he/she will need to bring their current ID card and pay 1,035 baht in fees. Once you have applied, it should take about a week to arrive at the given address.
