| How can I extend my 60-day tourist visa? |
My 60-day tourist visa extension expires on August 29, but I would like to stay in Thailand for another month.
Is it okay to fly to Kuala Lumpur or Singapore on the morning of August 29 and return that same day on a 30-day visa? |

With a 60-day tourist visa, you should be able to extend your visa at the Phuket Immigration Office for another 30 days, rather than having to leave the country.
This will cost you 1,900 baht in extension fees.
If you do have to leave the country, and you fly back into Phuket, you will get a 30-day visa on arrival.
If you return to Thailand across a land border, you will only get a 15-day visa.
For more information contact Phuket Immigration at 482 Phuket Road, T. Taladyai, A. Muang, Phuket 83000. T: 076-221905. |
