I live in Iran and like Thailand very much. I would like to buy a house in your country. I plan to spend part of the year in Thailand and the rest in Iran. Am I allowed to buy a house in Thailand?

“Under the Condominium Act, foreigners are permitted to buy condominium apartment units freehold in their own name in Thailand. However, not more than 49 percent of the total unit floor space of all units in a condominium complex can be foreign owned. Foreigners cannot own land in Thailand. Foreigners invested in a Thai company can buy houses in the company’s name.
