Tri-Nations Sundowner at Pullman Phuket Arcadia
Phuket Today joins three of the island's top business associations – AmCham, AustCham and BBAP – as they gather at the recently opened Pullman Phuket Arcadia. Also in the news, the Thai-Russian Chamber of Commerce staged a seminar at Royal Phuket Marina to help local Russian business promote the island to their countrymen.
Phuket Health & Fitness Festival
The Phuket Health & Fitness Festival, staged at multiple locations around the South of the island - including Atmanjai Wellness Center, Mangosteen Resort and Spa, and Serenity Resort & Residences - brought together practitioners in numerous fields. Wings for Science
Clementine and Adrien – the Wings for Science duo – recently arrived in Phuket by accident. The pair are traveling around the world in their tiny microlight aircraft assisting science projects along the way. Projects that have received their help so far include charting the migration patterns of whales, the nesting habits of puffins and documenting the sulphuric output of the Krakatoa volcano.

ITF Phuket tournament
The International Tennis Federation, in association with the Sports Authority of Thailand, recently brought some rising stars of the game to Phuket to compete in two tournaments at Thanyapura Sports & Leisure Complex. Phuket Today talked with the winner of the first tournament, Luksika Kumkhum.
Phuket Oilfield Classic
Golfers from as far afield as Scotland collected on Phuket recently to take part in the Oilfield Classic tournament at Loch Palm and Red Mountain golf clubs. All members of, or associated with, the oil and gas industry, the 130 competitors in this easy-going two-day tournament raised 400,000 baht for the Good Shepherd Learning Centre, with one competitor – Mike Loggie – also agreeing to underwrite the total costs of the project.
