Drowning in plastic bags

I would like to know if there is a collection place to bring plastic shopping bags. There’s a local bin for plastic bottles, but no place to bring the many plastic shopping bags I have collected over time.

Please help.

Drowning In Plastic Bags, Kamala. Monday, February 4, 2013  8:53:06 AM
“The Green Grow Network is a collection of government officers working at the Kamala Tambon Administrative Organization (OrBorTor) who work together to promote recycling.

We already have a plan in motion to set up bins for recycling plastic bags and we presented our idea at the OrBorTor general meeting on January 11.

At the meeting the Green Grow Network was granted permission to go ahead with its project to place several recycling bins for plastic bags throughout Kamala.

We are currently still designing what the bins will look like. When that is done, we will place a bin in front of the Kamala Police Station and in front of the Big C store in Kamala, and two more plastic-bag recycling bins will be placed along Kamala Beach.

We expect the new bins to be in place within the next two weeks. In that time we have still to find sponsors for the project and have the bins made.

In the meantime, we have set up black plastic bags next to the plastic bottle collection bins in Kamala. You may use the black plastic bags to recycle the plastic shopping bags you have collected.

For more information, you are welcome to call my private number 089-6483603 or contact the Kamala OrBorTor at 076-212464 during office hours Monday to Friday from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm.”
