Laguna kicks off Talad Canal weekend market

PHUKET: Laguna Phuket kicked off the high season on Saturday with the launch of its ‘Talad Canal’ weekend market.

The event was held at the resort’s Canal Shopping Village, which comprises more than 30 shops that offer a wide selection of quality goods and services, such as handicrafts, clothing and jewellery.

Talad Canal market, which will be held every weekend for the foreseeable future, offers a variety of activities, performances and shopping venues, as well as a dining area.

“The high season is coming and once again Canal Village will be crowded by visitors from every corner of the world, especially this year with our newest hotel, Cassia Phuket, having just opened,” said Ravi Chandran, managing director of Laguna Phuket.

“We want to make sure that visitors, as well as our own hotel guests, get the most out of their Phuket experience during their time with us. Talad Canal will be an excellent venue where tourists meet and bargain with real local vendors, carefully selected to showcase their goods in a safe environment and the beautiful ambiance of our resort.”

Talad Canal weekend market is a part of Laguna Phuket’s ‘Every Day at Canal’ campaign to kick off the high season. The campaign also includes ‘Kid and Family Fun at Canal Village’ on weekdays.

The market is open 5pm to 9pm every Saturday and Sunday.
