Police arrest ladyboy packing fake shooter
PHUKET: A ladyboy and her teenage associate were arrested yesterday for robbing two convenience stores with fake firearms last week.
Kan Polrob, 19, and a 17-year-old minor, who was not named by officers, were stopped at a police checkpoint in Rassada.
“They were wearing full-face helmets, jackets and appeared nervous when they were stopped,” said Lt Col Somsak Thongkliang of the Phuket City Police. “We asked to search them and found to two fake handguns.”
The pair were brought to Phuket City Police Station for further questioning.
“After interrogating them, we discovered that they had stolen a total of about 2,000 baht from a Family Mart in Wichit and Chalong within the last week,” Col Somsak said. “They also confessed that they were planning to rob another Family Mart that night.”
Both were charged with theft. However, the minor’s trial will be held separately, confirmed Col Somsak.
