Phuket Property: When privacy is paramount

PHUKET: The Onella Co Ltd has launched sales for Privé 49 low-density residence in central Phuket with superior hospitality services catering to executive urban lifestyles.

Phuket-based developers The Onella Co launched the latest addition to central Phuket’s residential property market on Friday, February 7. Investors are being introduced to an innovative urban living concept featuring resort-style hospitality services and facilities aimed at catering to global executive lifestyles.

Situated in the heart of Phuket’s central business district, next to Makro on Wichit Songkhram Road, Priv 49 is a low-density development that is promising privacy and affordable exclusive appeal.

Comprising just 49 private apartment-style living spaces distributed over seven floors, most of the units open onto a single corridor with no opposing neighbors to ensure additional privacy.

The design of the stylishly furnished units is a distinct departure from standard condo units. Privé 49 residents will enjoy an extra large en-suite bathroom and cost savings from natural ventilation provided by the elongated layout.

Privé 49’s communal facilities include a swimming pool, a fitness center and secure underground parking as well as Cafe 49, housed in a separate building with a garden that doubles as a meeting place for residents and non-residents.

Exclusive services available to Privé 49 residents include a shuttle service to nearby destinations, reception, plus facilities for a maid service and high-tech security such as digital locks and keycard access to individual floors.

“Privacy and convenience are the main focus of Privé 49,” said project president, Mr Sam Sethi, a Phuket native and board member of the Phuket Real Estate Association.

“Privé 49 is very much aimed at long-term investment in central Phuket. As the surrounding area transforms into a bustling Asian hub, we expect the tranquility of the single-bedroom living spaces will be very attractive to investors and long-term rental tenants alike,” said Mr Sethi, adding that investors can expect healthy rental returns. Rental rates in the area range from 12,000 to 15,000 baht per month.

With Initial Environmental Evaluation (IEE) approved and construction permit already issued, building work on Privé 49 is scheduled to begin within the next few months and expected to be completed by the end of 2015. Prices start at 2.28 million baht and are available freehold to foreign buyers. The fully-furnished spaces measure about 33sqm and include a compact fitted kitchen.

Privé 49 residents are expected to be a healthy mix of locals and foreigners, a number of them using Phuket as a base from which to work, relax and travel.
