Laguna Phuket Turtle Release
Phuket Today heads for the shimmering sands of Bangtao Beach for the 19th annual Laguna Phuket sea turtle release. Laguna Phuket helped raise over 200,000 baht for the Phuket Marine Biological Center and Third Area Naval Command to assist them with their turtle rescue programs.

On holiday in New Zealand, Don Smith discovered an innovative continuous guttering system that he thought would work wonders for Phuket's homes. So, he didn't just import the idea, he brought over the man who introduced him to it. Now Don's company, Rainwater Solutions, is fitting cost and water efficient and environmentally friendly guttering around the roofs of Phuket.
The Bay Regatta parties
While much of the action at the Bay Regatta takes place on the water, Phuket Today met up with the regatta participants on shore, as the racers partied their way to and from Phang Nga Bay. We also catch up with the Lady SevenStar crew to find out what they got up to in Phang Nga Bay.

Tara Sudlow takes her bad back to Nai Harn for some therapy with chiropractor and naturopath, Richard Cracknell, who is also a medal-winning marathon and triathlon competitor – outrunning many a younger athlete. Tara also tries some of Richard's excellent dishes at his Living Food Cafe.

Phuket Today gives you a taste of the Phuket Local Food Festival. This four-day event was a chance for locals and visitors to the island to sample some of the fabulous foods Phuket has created. The festival also featured the Miss Andaman Pearl beauty pageant.

The Nine is Phuket's latest chic eaterie. Centrally located, the five-star food, wine and service at The Nine come at a very affordable three-star price tag. Phuket Today went along to the wine bar's grand opening to find out what makes The Nine so special.
Life & Style – Olympians at Thanyapura
Olympic swimmers from the Netherlands and Italy visited Phuket recently to enjoy some winter training in the tropics. Thanyapura Sports & Leisure Complex played host to Olympic champions; Femke Heemskerk, Ranomi Kromowidjojo, Marcel Wouda, Pieter van den Hoogenband and Italian Olympic medalist, Filippo Magnini.
