Lion King rehearsals at BIS
The students, parents and teachers at Phuket's British International School are working hard to perfect their musical stage production of The Lion King in time for its premiere on 1 April. Head of Arts, Neill Thacker, talks about the challenges they still have to overcome. The show runs from 1 to 3 April at the BIS auditorium.
Colin Mackay – A History of Phuket

Old Phuket Town Festival
The annual Phuket Old Town Festival saw the centre of Phuket City taken over for three days of celebrations of the town’s historical origins and its unique mix of cultures. The festival is designed to encourage Phuket residents to contribute to the promotion of the Old Town and to help develop and conserve local culture.
Laguna Phuket Turtle Release
Phuket Today heads for the shimmering sands of Bangtao Beach for the 19th annual Laguna Phuket sea turtle release. Laguna Phuket helped raise over 200,000 baht for the Phuket Marine Biological Center and Third Area Naval Command to assist them with their turtle rescue programs.
Phuket Expat – Don Smith
On holiday in New Zealand, Don Smith discovered an innovative continuous guttering system that he thought would work wonders for Phuket's homes. So, he didn't just import the idea, he brought over the man who introduced him to it. Now Don's company, Rainwater Solutions, is fitting cost and water efficient and environmentally friendly guttering around the roofs of Phuket.
The Bay Regatta parties
While much of the action at the Bay Regatta takes place on the water, Phuket Today met up with the regatta participants on shore, as the racers partied their way to and from Phang Nga Bay. We also catch up with the Lady SevenStar crew to find out what they got up to in Phang Nga Bay.

Tara Sudlow takes her bad back to Nai Harn for some therapy with chiropractor and naturopath, Richard Cracknell, who is also a medal-winning marathon and triathlon competitor – outrunning many a younger athlete. Tara also tries some of Richard's excellent dishes at his Living Food Cafe.
