BIS International Day
British International School Phuket recently staged an International Day celebration with students, staff and parents donning national costumes. 44 countries were represented by participants, including some British Morris Dancers. In other news, Thai broadcasting giant MCOT recently brought their roadshow to Phuket to introduce viewers to some of their big name stars.
Turtle release at Mai Khao Beach
JW Marriott Resort and Spa recently held a turtle release at Mai Khao Beach in conjunction with the Phuket Marine Biological Center where over one hundred sponsored turtles were given a helping hand into the surf. Phuket Today talked to Dr Robert Mather of the International Union for the Conservation of Nature and Phet Manopetvitch of WWF Thailand.

Tom Howard's new Phuket classic
Kiranee Narabal talks to Tom Howard about his very recently restored classic, Marie G. Over sixty years ago, she was a Royal Air Force support vessel in Singapore. She was brought to Phuket to work for an offshore mining concern and then became a runabout for a Phuket hotel. Tom found her bottomless and rotting away on the hard stand and decided that the old lady deserved better.

Phuket Invitational Car Rally
