The film’s screenplay has been adapted from the 2014 best seller of the same name. ‘A Prayer Before Dawn’ is based on the true story of Billy Moore, a young British boxer who ends up in Chiang Mai Central Prison and later at the ‘Bangkok Hilton’, the infamous Klong Prem Central Prison in the capital.

It looks gritty, violent, sweaty and probably not going to have a happy ending. The movie has a rock solid production backing with the U.S.-based A24 studio – the Producers behind recent independent outings including The Lobster, Ex-Machina and Room.
