During today’s morning meeting (December 19) at Provincial Hall, the Governor, along with relevant Phuket authorities, discussed updates on the ongoing flooding issues that hit Route 402, and urged everyone to put it on the top of the agenda for Phuket.

The designated areas are located in Srisunthorn sub-district, in Thalang, and include the front of Home Pro Thalang, Baan Lipon school and the road in front of Thai Watsadu.

The Governor says the floods are created due to a large amount of water flowing from Khao Pra Thaeo mountain on the east side of the road. The Governor ordered each department involved to investigate sustainable solutions to the issue in these areas, as it creates problems with traffic and will affect the light rail project in the long-term.
