Phuket’s Rajabhat launches a fun run
Phuket Rajabhat University Alumni has kicked off a fun run to ‘encourage a healthy lifestyle’. More than 2,000 runners registered for the event.
Early yesterday (February 18), Phuket’s Vice Governor, Sanit Srivihok chaired the opening ceremony of the new fun run together with executives and seniors of the university as well as students and locals living around the university.
“This activity will help strengthen the relationship between the university and alumni as well as the current students and the community,” said Acting University Dean, Asst. Dr. Orathai Kruthawacho.
“It is with great pride that we work with the alumni. We get a lot of support from local organisations. We wish all the attendees who take on this running experience to be an ongoing inspiration for others to exercise and create a healthy lifestyle.”
Meanwhile, the President of the alumni, Rewat Areerob, said that the charity run will also raise funds for underprivileged students to continue their studies.
The fun run started and finished at the pond in front of Phuket Rajabhat University convention hall after a distance of six kilometres. The first 2,000 finishers received medals.
