EFT Mountain Fish Park grand opening an hour from Phuket

PHUKET: The gates of the Exotic Fishing Thailand (EFT) Mountain Fish Park will swing open on July 26 and 27 to everyone for the facility’s grand opening.

During the free event, all are welcome to visit the park, home to more than 60 species of fish from around the world, says park founder Mike Bailey.

The 25 rai lake, eight stock ponds and various aquarium displays in Phang Nga are about an hour’s drive from the Phuket International Airport.

“We have 60 different species – fish from Africa, India and China and we have loads of Amazon
species. The arapaimas are our main attraction. I think we have more arapaima catches, over 50kg, than other venues in Thailand. Not every one catches one, but some catch two or three,” Mr Bailey told the Phuket Gazette.
