FantaSea Opens To Crowd of 1,300

KAMALA: The first day of business at Phuket FantaSea attracted over 1,300 patrons, reported Surin Bamrungphol, Vice President of Marketing and Public Relations. An estimated seven out of ten paid admissions at yesterday’s soft opening were Thais, many of whom were local residents who wanted to check out Phuket’s newest and biggest leisure attraction, according to a poll conducted by FantaSea management. “The soft opening was a success,” Khun Surin told the Gazette today. “We encountered a few minor problems, but that is bound to happen when you open any major new venue.” Both Thai and foreign patrons who participated in the on-site survey at the cultural theme park commented that they were most impressed with the state-of-the-art technology employed in the stage show. FantaSea’s whimsical shops also received favorable comments, management said.
