Headless body found on Kata beach

KATA: Authorities are at a loss so far to establish the identity of a headless, armless body that washed up on Kata Beach yesterday. “Uncle Farang,” a 60-year-old member of the cleaning staff at the Kata Beach Hotel, shouted to alert others when he came across the body on the beach about 8 am. Police believe the body had been in the water for about three weeks. It is possibly all that remains of one of two fishermen who have been missing since their boat sank off Koh Racha Yai early last month. (See https://thethaiger.com/news/index.asp?fromsearch=yes&Id=2295 ) Pol Maj Sanae Panmee, Investigation Inspector of Chalong Police Station, said a post mortem was unable to establish how the person died. “We will be continuing investigations in the hope that some information comes to light,” he said.
