Nok Air to resume Bangkok-Phuket flights

PHUKET: Nok Air will resume flights between flood-struck Bangkok and Phuket tomorrow by temporarily moving their operations to Suvarnabhumi Airport.

Nok Air ground attendant Nonglak Sangcharoen, based at Phuket International Airport, today confirmed to the Phuket Gazette that, “Due to the floods, all Nok Air flights from Phuket to Bangkok from tomorrow, October 27, through to November 10 will land at Suvarnabhumi.

“So far we have confirmed flights from Phuket to Suvarnabhumi Airport. The first will depart Phuket tomorrow [October 27] at 11:30am, and from Friday, October 28 through to November 10, the flights will depart Phuket twice a day, at 11:30am and 7pm,” she said.

People heading from Bangkok to sunny Phuket can catch the first flight southbound tomorrow, departing Suvarnabhumi Airport at 9:40 am, said Ms Nonglak.

“And from Friday, October 28 through to November 10, flights from Suvarnabhumi to Phuket will depart Bangkok at 9:40am and at 5:10pm,” she added.

“We have not been informed whether our flights will return to Don Mueang Airport after November 10. It depends on the floods,” Ms Nonglak said.
