Walkers Headed To Isan

MAE SAI: Dennis Peacock and Boonchern Jinapirom, the two men who took to the pavement in their grassroots “Walking For Thailand” campaign earlier this year, are still going strong in their pursuit to traverse every province in the Kingdom. In a postcard received today by the Gazette, Peacock wrote that the pair were on their way from Mae Sai in the northern province of Chiang Rai to Nong Khai in the northeast. Peacock noted that while he and his partner hadn’t found a sponsor for the walk, they were generating positive press for Thailand around the world. The 51-year-old Peacock began his walk at the Thai-Malaysian border to show his support for the Kingdom during its economic crisis. He was joined by Boonchern in Krabi.
