Lucky ladyboy in marriage-a-trois
NAKHON SAWAN: A lucky 42-year-old ladyboy is set to marry not one, but two young men in a lavish wedding ceremony in this central Thai province.
Somjit Songjaeng has lived with her first husband-to-be, 22-year-old Anurut “Jack” Kraisa, for six years. Not content with one lover, she met her second fiancé, 27-year-old Sathit “Bank” Rawtyoo, at the end of last year.
It can’t hurt that Ms Somjit is a millionaire. Born in Takhlee District in Nakhon Sawan, she moved to Switzerland 25 years ago. There she fell in love with a young Swiss man named Christian who worked in a watch factory.
The couple moved back to Thailand, but after two years they began to have problems and split up. Ms Somjit moved back to Switzerland and opened a restaurant that became very successful. She returned to Takhlee and bought property, including a plot of land where she built three houses, now worth 20 million baht.
She met both of her husbands-to-be in Pattaya. The wedding ceremony, at the house of the “happy triple” this week, would include a 50-table wedding party with food, music and a cabaret show.
Many people expressed concern that the unusual arrangement might cause problems, but Ms Somjit said she would be the central “go-between” who made sure everyone understood each other.
Ms Somjit is also planning on paying for her two young husbands to continue their education and improve themselves. She said she was sure that all three of them had the same heart and would live together happily ever after.
